Anthera ("the service") is operated by UNTONE ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal data when you use Anthera.

By using Anthera, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What We Collect

We collect only the data needed to operate and improve the platform. This includes:

• From UNTONE ID (login provider):

  • Display name
  • Email address
  • User ID (used internally to associate your content)

• When using Anthera:

  • Profile data (e.g. profile picture, banners)
  • Content you upload (images, text, stories, characters, etc.)
  • Comments and interactions
  • Connected accounts (optional)

2. How Your Data is Used

We use your data to:

• Display your content publicly on Anthera
• Allow social and creative interaction between users
• Handle account login and sessions
• Keep the platform functioning smoothly and securely

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

3. Public Content

Most of your content (posts, comments, profiles, characters, etc.) is public by default and may be visible on the open web (e.g. via search engines).
The exception is mature-marked content, which is only visible to logged-in users and not indexed.

4. Cookies

We also use localStorage for local preferences (not used for tracking or analytics).

5. Data Storage & Deletion

• Files are stored via Cloudflare R2
• You can delete posts and uploaded files; these are typically removed from storage within 1–4 weeks.
• Account deletion is available by request (email us). When deleted, your data and content will be removed, unless retention is legally required.

6. Third-Party Services

We use limited third-party services to operate Anthera:

• UNTONE ID (authentication)
• Cloudflare (delivery, caching, file storage)
• Optional profile connections (e.g. Discord, GitHub, Patreon, etc.)

These services do not receive private data. Connected accounts are opt-in and display public information only.

7. Your Rights (GDPR, etc.)

If you are in the EEA or similar regions, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request corrections or deletion
• Object to or limit processing
• Request data portability
